According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, at dawn on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, the death sentence of a Kurdish prisoner identified as Ali Esmaeili, from Nourabad, was carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj.
Sources told Hana that this prisoner had previously been arrested on charges related to “drug offenses” and was later sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
It is worth noting that over the past two days alone, at least five prisoners have been executed in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj.
