Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, the detention order of Yaser Advaei, a former political prisoner from the village of Selin in the Hawraman (Oramanat) region, has been extended for another one-month period. He had previously been arrested on November 13, 2025, after being summoned to the Intelligence Office in Sarvabad.
According to the information received, this political activist has been held in the detention center of the Intelligence Department in Marivan since the time of his arrest and has been denied access to a lawyer and family visits throughout this period. During brief phone calls, he informed his family that his detention order has been extended for an additional month.
It is worth noting that Yaser Adovayi was also arrested in June 2020 by security forces and was released on bail after forty-five days. He was subsequently sentenced to five years of discretionary imprisonment on charges of “acting against national security through cooperation with one of the Kurdish opposition parties,” a sentence that was later reduced to three years on appeal. Mr. Adovayi was transferred to Marivan Prison in February 2021 to serve his sentence and was released after completing his term.
