According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, at dawn today, Wednesday, October 1, 2025, the death sentence of a Kurdish prisoner identified as Ali Gravand, 30, son of Ali and a native of “Kul Badam” village in Kuhdasht County, was carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj.
According to the received information, he had been arrested in Shahriar in 2018 on charges related to “narcotics” and was later sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
On the same morning, the death sentence of another prisoner, identified as Mohammad Faraji, 30, from “Lenjabad” village in Marivan County, was carried out in Sanandaj Central Prison.
Mohammad Faraji had been arrested four years ago on charges of “premeditated murder” and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic.
