According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, at dawn on Friday, November 7, 2025, the death sentence of a prisoner identified as Shahab (Shams-e Din) Abasi, a native of Kai village in the Silvaneh district of Orumiyeh County, was carried out in Orumiyeh Central Prison.
Shahab Abasi, aged 52, was married and the father of four children.
According to the received reports, he was arrested by security forces about two years ago on charges related to “drug offenses” and was later sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
