The Hana Human Rights Organization has reported that on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, the death sentence of a Kurdish prisoner named Majid Tavakoli, from Mahabad, was carried out in the Central Prison of Mahabad.
According to received information, he had previously been arrested on charges of “intentional murder” and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
