The body of Ebrahim Shahbazian a Kurdish citizen was discovered at the Kahrizak Forensic Medicine Office following his enforced disappearance

The Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that on Thursday, January 8, 2026, a Kurdish citizen named Ebrahim Shahbazian, from Qorveh and residing in Tehran, who had suddenly gone missing, was found dead at the Kahrizak Forensic Medicine Office 48 hours later.

According to information provided to Hana, his body showed evidence of gunshot wounds to the head, and it appears that deep cuts from a bladed weapon were also inflicted on his body, either before or after death.

A source familiar with the case reported that the family was forced to pay 300 million tomans to receive Shahbazian’s body, and his burial was carried out under strict security measures. Security agencies pressured and threatened his family into accepting a fabricated narrative linking him to Mossad. In line with this, his wife was forced to give a televised interview claiming cooperation with Mossad.
