According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization:
On Monday, June 2, 2025, Shahab Darabi—a truck driver, grassroots blogger, and resident of Islamabad-e Gharb—was released from the city’s prison after one week in detention.
Mr. Darabi was arrested on May 27, 2025, by security forces at his private residence without a court warrant, due to his support for the nationwide truck drivers’ strike.
During his detention, he was subjected to intense psychological and physical pressure and was coerced into making forced confessions against himself.
