According to information received by Hana Human Rights Organization, on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, law enforcement forces entered the village of Nesareh, located 5 kilometers from Divandareh, to arrest a man named Saman Khaledian, reportedly wanted in connection with public offenses. During the arrest operation, the security forces committed excessive violence against his family members.
Despite having already detained the suspect, the officers proceeded to open fire and physically assault other members of the household, including his sister, father, and brothers, creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation in the area.
Hana has learned that the detainee’s father was severely injured as a result of the assault and is currently hospitalized at Khomeini Hospital in Divandareh.
From a legal standpoint, the arrest of an individual cannot justify the use of violence against uninvolved family members, and such actions constitute a gross violation of basic human rights and due process.
