According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, today, Wednesday, 10 December 2025, Seiran Shawla, a resident of Mahabad, was temporarily released on bail from Orumiyeh Central Prison.
Ms. Shawla had previously been arrested on Wednesday, 29 October 2025, by Intelligence Ministry forces at her home without any judicial warrant. She was then transferred to one of Orumiyeh’s security detention centers for questioning and later moved to the city’s central prison after the interrogation process was completed.
It is noteworthy that Ms. Shawla’s arrest took place while her husband, Jalal Sadafi, had been detained by the Intelligence Ministry on 15 December 2024 and remains in Mahabad Prison in an indefinite detention situation.
Seiran Shawla had also previously been summoned to the Intelligence Directorate of Mahabad on 4 February 2025, where she was interrogated for several hours and threatened with arrest.
