According to a report received from Hana’s colleagues in Sanandaj Central Municipality, on May 26, 2022, Sanandaj municipality’s security has gathered municipal workers and by giving them batons, tasers and special personal clothes, they ask that if the protests spread to Sanandaj, they should deal with the people.
A group of workers leave the meeting in protest and leave the courtyard of the central municipality located on Shapur Street.
The next day, the municipality fired the protesting workers and made their work conditional on receiving money, clothes, batons, and so on. Then the workers are forced to comply with the request for protection and continue their work by reciving money, clothes, and so on.
