According to reports received by the Human Rights Organization Hana, the detention order for Sohrab Bahrami, a civil activist from Sanandaj, has been extended for a second time.
Based on the received information, Mr. Bahrami was arrested on 24 January 2026, following a raid by security forces on his home, without any judicial warrant, and transferred to an undisclosed location.
It is noteworthy that since his arrest, no information has been made available regarding the reasons for his detention or the charges against this Kurdish civil activist, and he has been denied access to a lawyer and any form of contact or visitation with his family.
