Ravansar / Temporary detention of the family of a human rights activist

Hana: On Saturday (August 8, 2021), the family of Arsalan Yar Ahmadi, a member of the board of directors of the Hangao Human Rights Organization, was arrested and interrogated by the Kermanshah Intelligence Service.

Yar Ahmadi announced on his Facebook page: "My father (Suleiman Yar Ahmadi) and my younger brother (Imran Yar Ahmadi) have been summoned today by the General Directorate of Information Protection of Kermanshah Province and interrogated for several hours and asked to either give up my media activities or will be killed.

The Hengao website also reported the news, quoting Arsalan Yar Ahmadi: "Security forces told me by telephone that Musa Babakhani had been killed for honor reasons and had nothing to do with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and that you should publish the news in Hengao. "Say that Musa was killed for raping three women from Erbil and killed by their relatives, and I immediately hung up the phone."

It should be noted that pressure on the families of political, human rights and media activists has been one of the ways pressure has been exerted by security agencies in recent times.
