Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, at dawn on Tuesday, 16 December 2025, the death sentence of a Kurdish prisoner identified as Qobad Fathollahi, a native of Ilam County, was carried out at Ilam Central Prison.
It should be noted that he was arrested in 2019 on charges of “premeditated murder” and was later sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
