The Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that more than 20 days have passed since the arrest of a Kurdish citizen identified as Malek Nikbakht, a resident of Malekshahi County in illam Province, yet no information is available regarding his fate or place of detention.
According to Hana’s sources, Mr. Nikbakht was arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic on 1 February 2026 and transferred to an undisclosed location.
It should be noted that since the time of his arrest, no information has been made available concerning the reasons for his detention, his place of custody, or his current condition.
