According to received reports, three Kurdish citizens identified as Rashid Faghizadeh, Omid Ebrahimi, and Yaser Sharifian, from Oshnavieh, have been sentenced to a total of ten years in prison by the Revolutionary Court of this city.
Based on Hana’s sources, Yaser Sharifian was sentenced to 4 years in prison on charges of “propaganda against the state, possession of a hatchet-type weapon, and collaboration with one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government.”
Omid Ebrahimi was sentenced to 5 years in prison on charges of “acting against national security, propaganda against the state, and collaboration with one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government.”
Rashid Faghizadeh was sentenced to 1 year in prison on charges of “disturbing public opinion.”
On Wednesday, May 7, 2025 (17 Ordibehesht 1404), the three Kurdish citizens – Rashid Faghizadeh, Yaser Sharifian, and Omid Ebrahimi – were arrested in Oshnavieh by security forces without judicial warrants at their private homes. They were later released on June 2, 2025 (12 Khordad), each on a bail of 1 billion tomans.
