Hana; On Sunday, January 15, 2023, a Kurdish cleric with the identity of Yunes Nokhah, teacher of Salahaddin Ayubi School of Religious Sciences in Piranshahr city, was sentenced to a total of 4 years and 6 months imprisonment by the special clerical court in Tabriz. It has been officially notified him.
It is worth noting that according to the verdict, he was sentenced to 7 months and 25 days of imprisonment for the charges of "propaganda activity against the holy system of the Islamic Republic of Iran" and "insulting the holy things" and "insulting the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran". He has been sentenced to 36 months of penal servitude and 15 months of penal servitude, as well as to be permanently stripped of his clerical clothes.
It is necessary to remind that the mentioned person was arrested by the security forces in Piranshahr city on June 7th, 2022, and transferred to one of the security detention centers in Urmia for interrogation, and on June 23rd when the interrogation period ended, he was transferred to the prison of that city and finally on June 25th he was temporarily released from prison on bail until the end of the proceedings.
