According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, 43 days after the arrest of Behzad Azarakhsh, a 21-year-old resident of Bojnord in North Khorasan Province, he remains in a state of legal limbo and is being held in Bojnord Prison.
Based on the information obtained, Mr. Azarakhsh was arrested on Sunday, 11 January 2026, by security forces without the presentation of any judicial warrant. After the completion of interrogation procedures, he was transferred to prison in Bojnord.
It should be noted that, as of the time of publication of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges brought against him. He has also been denied access to legal counsel and deprived of any form of contact or visitation with his family.
