According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, more than 47 days after the arrest of Mehdi Bahadori, a Kurdish citizen from the city of Quchan in Razavi Khorasan Province, he remains in a state of legal limbo at Quchan Central Prison.
Based on available reports, Mr. Bahadori was arrested on Friday, 9 January 2026, by security forces without the presentation of any judicial warrant and with the use of violence. After the completion of interrogation procedures, he was transferred to Quchan Central Prison.
It should be noted that, as of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges brought against him. He has also been denied access to a lawyer and deprived of any contact or visitation rights with his family.
