One kolbar killed another injured by military gunfire

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, in the early hours of Saturday, June 28, 2025, Iranian military forces opened fire on a group of kolbars in the border area of “Awpar,” killing a young kolbar and injuring another.

Hana’s field sources identified the deceased kolbar as Seiwan Abdollahzadeh, 24, son of Saleh, from the village of Haftash, a district of Baneh. The other kolbar, identified only as Hossein (last name unknown) from the village of Kileshin, also in Baneh county, was severely injured and is reported to be in critical condition.

According to Hana’s sources, Seiwan Abdollahzadeh died after being transferred to a hospital in Saqqez.

The two kolbars were ambushed by military forces between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m. while returning to their village. Following the attack, 10 horses belonging to the kolbars were also killed, and their cargo was seized by Iranian border guards.
