The wave of arbitrary arrests in Oshnavieh by security forces has increased the number of detainees to seven.
According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Monday, December 30, 2024, Heydi Shadikhah, a resident of the village of “Singan” in Oshnavieh County, was arrested by security forces without any judicial documentation and transferred to an undisclosed location.
On the same day, Rahman Tabesh, a resident of Oshnavieh, was also arrested by security forces and taken to an unknown location.
Additionally, on the evening of Sunday, December 29, 2024, Kourosh Azizi, a resident of Oshnavieh, was arrested by security forces.
It is worth noting that earlier, on December 26, 2024, at least four other citizens—Tofiq Amini, Morad Abdollah Omri, Nour-e din Mola Alizadeh, and Mohammad Behrouzi—from the village of “Haq,” located in Oshnavieh County, were arrested by security forces and transferred to undisclosed locations.
As of the time of this report, no information has been released about the reasons for the arrests or the current whereabouts of these detainees.
