Nariman Rendani was re-arrested by security forces

According to received reports, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Nariman Rendani, a 35-year-old civil activist from Saqqez, was re-arrested for the third time by security forces.

According to the reports, at around 6 a.m., security forces raided Rendani’s family home without presenting any judicial documents, arrested him, and transferred him to an undisclosed location.

The report also states that his brother, Milad Rendani, was arrested by security forces, severely beaten, and released from detention later the same day.

Previously, on April 18, 2025, Nariman Rendani had been arrested at his workplace by security forces without any judicial documents, transferred to the security detention center in Baneh, and was temporarily released on Sunday, May 11, 2025, after posting bail.

It is also worth noting that on January 23, 2025, in connection with strikes by shopkeepers and bazaar merchants in various cities of Kurdistan protesting the death sentences against Pakhshan Azizi and Verishe Moradi, Rendani was arrested and transferred to the Sanandaj intelligence detention center. He was released from Saqqez Prison on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, after posting 600 million toman bail.
