According to the reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization; Naib Askari, 46 years old, married with two children, a Kurdish political prisoner from Urmia, was sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the charge of muharibeh after two years of detention, and this sentence was officially communicated to him.
It should be noted that the mentioned person was arrested on Saturday March 27, 2021 by IRGC Intelligence agents in Urmia and on Thursday June 17, 2021, after the interrogation process was completed, he was transferred from the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center to the Islamic Republic Prison in Urmia.
It is worth mentioning that on Monday, July 12, 2021, this political prisoner was sentenced to 3 months imprisonment by Criminal Court No. 2 in Urmiya on the charge of "disturbing the prison order" in connection with another case filed by Amir Sohrabi, the head of the prison at the time. And he was sentenced to 50 lashes.
