Nader (Shirdel) Jameh-Shourani a Kurdish prisoner died after serving 20 years in the Dizelabad Prison in Kermanshah

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, Nader (Shirdel) Jameh-Shourani, a Kurdish prisoner from Kermanshah, has died after serving approximately 20 years in the Kermanshah Central Prison (Dizelabad).

The reports state that on Saturday, 29 November 2025, the family of the prisoner was summoned to the Kermanshah Forensic Medicine Department and informed that the cause of his death was a “heart attack.” However, Jameh-Shourani’s family rejected this claim and considered his death suspicious, emphasizing that he had no history of illness.

According to relatives, the prisoner had clashed several times with prison guards over the years and was repeatedly subjected to torture and physical assault, which in some instances caused severe injuries and hospitalization.

It should be noted that Nader Jameh-Shourani, 39, was arrested by the Intelligence Office around 20 years ago on charges of “theft” from a jewelry store in Sanandaj and was sentenced to long-term imprisonment along with the repayment of the stolen property.
