Morteza Pakzad was killed in Tehran as a result of direct gunfire by the repressive forces

The Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that on Thursday, 8 January 2026, a 22-year-old Kurdish citizen named Morteza Pakzad, a resident of Bajenord County in North Khorasan Province, was killed in Tehran during popular protests as a result of direct gunfire by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to received reports, Morteza Pakzad’s body was buried in the cemetery of his native village, Kolab, in Bajenord County.
