On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, Mohsen Hossein Panahi, one of the injured in the Abidar fire incident, was discharged from Kosar Hospital in Sanandaj after completing his medical treatment.
In recent days, Mostafa Hejberi, another injured individual in the same incident, had also been discharged from the hospital.
It should be noted that on Thursday, July 24, 2025, Mohsen Hossein Panahi, along with Mostafa Hejberi, Khabat Amini, Chiako Yousefi Nejad, and Hamid Moradi, sustained burn injuries while taking part in firefighting operations in Awiyar. As a result of this fire, three of these environmental activists lost their lives.
On Friday, July 25, 2025, Hamid Moradi — an environmental activist, lawyer, CEO of the “Shneh Nojin Kurdistan” Environmental Association, originally from Divandareh and a resident of Sanandaj — lost his life. On Sunday, July 27, 2025, Chiako Yousefi Nejad, a martial arts coach, former champion, and former member of Iran’s national martial arts team from Sanandaj, passed away. On Monday, July 28, 2025, Khabat Amini also died at Kosar Hospital in Sanandaj due to severe burn injuries.
