According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Saturday, January 18, 2025, Mina Rasulpour, a nurse from Mahabad, passed away following a suicide attempt.

Sources informed Hana that Ms. Rasulpour, due to the deterioration of her physical condition caused by the suicide attempt, was transferred from Oshnavieh Hospital to a hospital in Orumiyeh. However, she succumbed to the severe injuries resulting from her suicide.

Mina Rasulpour, married and a mother of two, was the head of her household and worked at the Nalous Health Network in Oshnavieh.

According to a reliable source, Ms. Rasulpour faced severe economic hardship, and her husband had been unable to work for some time due to physical health issues.

resulting psychological stress.

It is worth noting that, in recent years, the migration and suicide of Iranian nurses have turned into an advancing tsunami. Additionally, economic and psychological pressures, particularly for women heads of households, have posed significant challenges for them within the patriarchal system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
