According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, at dawn on Sunday, October 5, 2025, a kolbar identified as Mehdi Sharifi, a married man, father of one child, and a resident of Kani Sib village in Baneh County, was shot dead by border regiment forces in the Sardaw border area.
According to Hana’s sources, the body of this kolbar was transferred to Salah-e din Ayoubi Hospital in Baneh and has not yet been handed over to his family.
It is worth noting that since September 24, 2025, at least three kolbars have been killed as a result of direct fire by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Hana Human Rights Organization warns against the ongoing killing and injuring of kolbars by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and emphasizes that such actions constitute a clear violation of the right to life and the principle prohibiting the arbitrary use of firearms against civilians.
