Kurdish prisoner of conscience Ayub Karimi was executed in Qazalhisar prison in Karaj

According to the report of Hana’s colleagues: At dawn today, Wednesday, November 29, 2023, the death sentence of Ayub Karimi, a Kurdish prisoner of conscience from Mahabad, was implemented after 14 years of imprisonment in Qazalhasar prison in Karaj.

Ayub Karimi was 45 years old, married and the father of two children.
It should be noted that at dawn on Sunday, November 5, 2023, the execution sentence of Qasim Absteh, a Kurdish prisoner of conscience, one of Ayub Karimi's casemates, was executed in Qazalhasar prison in Karaj.
Based on this report; Ayoub Karimi, along with six Sunni citizens named Anwar Khazri, Qasim Absteh, Dawood Abdullahi, Farhad Salimi, from Saqqz, Kamran Sheikha and Khosro Bashart, were arrested by the security forces in November 2009.

According to received reports; They were sentenced to death by Branch 15 of Tehran Revolution Court in May 2018, on charges of "corruption on earth" and crimes related to national security, following unfair trials during which the court judge denied their lawyer the right to defend them. After being arrested between the middle of December 2009, and the beginning of January 2010, in West Azerbaijan province, these seven people were transferred to the detention center of the Ministry of Information in Orumieh and accused of being members of "Salafi groups", a charge that each of them denied.
In July 2018, another court in West Azarbaijan province sentenced Kamran Sheikha to death on the charge of murdering a man who died in a collision with a car, and sentenced Anwar Khezri and Khosrow Basharat to prison as his accomplices.
Despite the numerous cases of serious violations of fair trial rules, in September 2020, the 38th branch of the Supreme Court rejected their request for retrial and on February 2, 2021, the 41st branch of the Supreme Court confirmed the judgments issued against these seven prisoners.
