Hana: On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, a tragic accident involving a school transport vehicle occurred in Khuy, resulting in injuries to 21 passengers.
The West Azerbaijan Department of Education confirmed the incident, stating that it took place on the route connecting villages around Khuy.
According to received reports, the vehicle carrying the students was involved in an accident for reasons that have not yet been officially announced. As a result, several students sustained serious injuries.
This incident comes amid ongoing concerns about the safety of student transportation in many parts of Kurdistan. The use of substandard vehicles and the lack of proper oversight by authorities continue to put students’ lives at risk.
