According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Sunday, October 19, 2025, Khedr Rasouli, a resident of Mahabad, was temporarily released from Mahabad Central Prison on bail after three months of detention.
Klara Rasouli, Khedr Rasouli’s daughter, had also been released on bail from Orumiyeh Central Prison about two weeks earlier.
According to the information obtained, at around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, security forces violently raided the family’s home, breaking down the front door before arresting Khedr Rasouli and his daughter Klara.
Sources close to Hana reported that the arrest of these two citizens was related to the political activities of Karo Rasouli, Khedr Rasouli’s son and a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran.
In previous years, Khedr Rasouli had repeatedly been summoned, threatened, and detained by security agencies and had served a five-year prison sentence and faced social restrictions due to his son’s membership in one of the Kurdish opposition parties.
