According to reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization, on 24 December 2025, a citizen identified as Keyvan Mamegoli, from Gug Tappeh village, Mahabad County, was arrested after being summoned to the Criminal Sentence Enforcement Branch of this city and transferred to Mahabad Prison for the enforcement of his prison sentence.
According to this report, he had previously been sentenced by Branch One of the Mahabad Revolutionary Court to six months of discretionary imprisonment on the charge of “propaganda against the state,” and the verdict had been communicated to him on 14 October 2025.
It should be noted that Mr. Mamegoli was arrested in the early hours of 19 June 2025 by security forces without the presentation of a judicial warrant, transferred to one of the security detention centers in Mahabad, and ultimately released temporarily from Mahabad Prison on bail after the completion of interrogation procedures.
