Kermanshah / Worker Dies After Falling from Height

According to reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization, on Sunday, February 9, 2025, a construction worker identified as Nour-e din Ahmadian Jegarloei, a native of Barfi village in Qasr-e Shirin and a resident of Dowlatabad, Kermanshah, fell from the eighth floor of an under-construction building while working. Due to the severity of his injuries, he lost his life.

Nour-e din Ahmadian Jegarloei was married and had one child.

It is worth noting that the Islamic Republic of Iran has not joined any of the eight fundamental conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), which establish core labor rights. As a result, Iranian workers suffer from a severe lack of safety regulations and protections against workplace accidents. Each year, a significant number of workers in Iran lose their lives due to the absence of proper safety standards in the workplace.
