According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, a citizen identified as Kaveh Afshari, from Mahabad, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Based on information obtained, Mr. Afshari was detained at his workplace without the presentation of any judicial warrant and with the use of force by security agents.
It should be noted that, as of the time of publication of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges brought against this Kurdish citizen.
