January Protests / Three More Citizens Arrested by Security Forces in Ilam

Following the security crackdown on the January protests, at least three Kurdish citizens in Ilam Province have been arrested by security forces.

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 (16 Dey 1404), at least three Kurdish citizens identified as Peyman Aslmarz, 18, from Darreh Shahr; Javad Pashaee, 34, from Ilam; and Reza Nazarali, 21, from Ilam, were arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.

As of the time of publishing this report, no information is available regarding the whereabouts or place of detention of these three citizens.

The Hana Human Rights Organization has expressed concern over the continued use of arbitrary and extrajudicial arrests and has called on the relevant authorities to be held accountable and to respect the fundamental and legal rights of these citizens.
