According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, a female citizen named Shilan Salehi, a student and daughter of Fattah and Shirin from Baneh County, lost her life during popular protests in Tehran as a result of direct gunfire by repressive forces.
An informed source told the Hana Human Rights Organization that security agencies, through threats, forced commitments, and the collection of 150 million tomans, handed over Shilan Salehi’s body to her family.
The source also added that on the evening of Monday, January 26, 2026, she was buried in the cemetery of Baneh County.
It should be noted that Shilan Salehi was a student at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran.
