According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Friday, 9 January 2026, Reza Hassanzadeh, a 29-year-old Kurdish Kermanj, was killed during popular protests in Tehran Province as a result of direct gunfire to the head by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to received information, his body was buried on 12 January 2026 in Qaleh Hasan Khan, Tehran.
