According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Friday, 9 January 2026, a Kurdish citizen identified as Mokhtar Hedayat, from Harsin County in Kermanshah Province, was killed after being shot directly by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s security forces during popular protests in the Yaftabad neighborhood of Tehran.
