The Hana Human Rights Organization has been informed that on Thursday, January 8, 2026, a Kurdish citizen identified as Mohammad-Hossein Rashtiani, 19 years old and a native of Kangavar in Kermanshah Province, was killed during popular protests in Mohammadshahr, Karaj, as a result of direct gunfire by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to an informed source, the body of this Kurdish citizen was handed over to his family on January 10, 2026, and one day later he was buried at Behesht-e Ali Cemetery in the city of Eshtehard.
