According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, a 65-year-old Kurdish citizen named Khodadad Olfati, from Kermanshah Province, was killed during popular protests in Fardis, Karaj, as a result of direct gunfire by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to HANA sources, his body was buried on January 12, 2026, in Karaj.
