According to reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, 8 January 2026, Kamran Akbari, from Eslamabad-e Gharb (Shabad) and a schoolteacher, lost his life after being directly shot by forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran during popular protests in the Elahiyeh neighborhood of Kermanshah.
It should be noted that Kamran Akbari was 45 years old, a teacher, and the father of one child.
