January protests / Hassan Sabet was killed following direct gunfire by security forces in Tehran

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, a Kurdish citizen named Hassan Sabet, from the village of Qeisvand in Harsin County, Kermanshah Province, was killed during public protests in the Shahriar neighborhood of Tehran as a result of direct gunfire by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
