Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization: on Thursday, January 8, 2026, a Kurdish citizen identified as Armin Asadi, originally from Salmas in West Azerbaijan and a resident of Tehran, was killed during popular protests in Tehran after being directly shot in the head by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to information received, the body of Armin Asadi was buried on Saturday, January 10, 2026, in the cemetery of Salmas.
