January protests: Amin Salami was killed after being shot by the repressive forces in Kermanshah

Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, a Kurdish citizen identified as Amin Salami, from Kermanshah province, was targeted by gunfire from the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran during popular protests in the Elahiyeh neighborhood of Kermanshah and lost his life.
