January protests / Ali Mohammadi was killed as a result of direct gunfire by the repressive forces in Qarchak

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, 8 January 2026, a 19-year-old young man identified as Ali Mohammadi, from Norabad-e Delfan, was killed during popular protests in the city of Qarchak, Tehran Province, as a result of gunfire by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to received reports, Ali Mohammadi was transferred to hospital after being shot; however, despite his family’s presence, his body was not handed over to them. Following extensive searches, the family eventually identified their son’s body among hundreds of other deceased individuals at Kahrizak and received it at Behesht Zahra Cemetery.

It should be noted that Ali Mohammadi’s burial ceremony was held in one of the villages of Norabad-e Delfan County.
