According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, Jalal Sadafi, a resident of Mahabad County, was temporarily released from the county’s central prison after posting bail set at 40 billion rials.
Mr. Sadafi was arrested on December 15, 2024, by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence and transferred for interrogation to a security detention facility in Orumiyeh. After the completion of the interrogation process, he was transferred to Mahabad Prison.
It should be noted that Mr. Sadafi’s wife, Seiran Shawla, had previously been arrested by Ministry of Intelligence forces at her family home on October 29, 2025, and was ultimately released on temporary bail from Mahabad Prison on December 10, 2025.
