According to sources from the Hana Human Rights Organization, Hiva Behin, who had previously been sentenced to six months in prison and had been serving his sentence in Bukan Prison since February 26, 2025, was suddenly transferred to Orumiyeh Prison without any clear explanation.
His family stated that he was moved to Orumiyeh 10 days ago without prior notice. In a brief phone call, Hiva told his family that he had been taken there for interrogation.
This sudden transfer has raised concerns about the possibility of new charges being fabricated against him.
It is worth noting that Hiva Behin was previously sentenced to six months in prison by Branch 101 of the Second Criminal Court of Bukan, presided over by Judge Fakhri, on charges of “propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran.” The verdict was officially delivered to this Kurdish citizen on January 15, 2025.
