Hana Report: Two Nurses Die by Suicide in Kermanshah Amid Economic Hardship

The Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that on Saturday, December 13, 2025, two young nurses in Kermanshah died by suicide. One of them, identified as Milad Morovati, 25, a native of Kermanshah, was an emergency nurse at Khomeini Hospital in the city. In a related case, another nurse, Sheida Arzani, also from Kermanshah and employed at Imam Reza Hospital, died by suicide.

According to Hana, suicides among nurses in Iran have increased in recent years, driven by severe economic pressure, unpaid wages, exhausting overtime, chronic staff shortages, and the lack of effective psychological and professional support.
