Hana: On Sunday, August 10, 2025, Ramin Gorgani, a former political prisoner from Kamyaran, was arrested by security forces and transferred to the detention center of the Sanandaj Intelligence Department.
According to received reports, security forces, without presenting a judicial warrant, arrested him on one of Kamyaran’s streets and then raided his family home. After searching the premises, they confiscated some of this Kurdish citizen’s personal belongings and took them away.
As of the time of this report, the reason for his arrest and the charges against Mr. Gorgani remain unclear.
Ramin Gorgani had previously been arrested on March 5, 2024, by security forces and was released a few weeks later on bail. He was later sentenced by the Kamyaran Revolutionary Court to six months in prison on charges of “propaganda against the regime,” a sentence that was later converted to a monetary fine.
