Five students at Danesh Rajaei School were expelled after chanting slogans

Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Tuesday, 24 February 2026, a number of students from grades 7 to 9 at Danesh Rajaei School, located near the Se-Rah Maskan intersection (Education District 3 of Kermanshah), were subjected to disciplinary action by the school administration on charges of chanting slogans within the school environment.

The identities of the school officials involved have been confirmed as Sahar Dashti (school principal) and Ms. Goran (vice-principal). These officials removed the students from their classrooms and placed their names on the school’s blacklist.

As these pressures continued, on the morning of Wednesday, 25 February 2026, five students, aged between 13 and 15, were officially expelled from the school and barred from attending classes.

Denying students their right to education on political or ideological grounds constitutes a clear violation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child as well as domestic laws governing the right to education.
