Fate of Detained Kurdish Couple from Saqqez Remains Unknown

According to reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization:
More than 31 days have passed since the arrest of a Kurdish couple from Saqqez—Delir Salimi, 40 years old, son of Abdulrahman, and Zhila Tashakori, 36 years old—yet no accurate information is available regarding their fate, whereabouts, or health condition.

Delir Salimi was arrested by security forces on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, on the Saveh Road without the presentation of any judicial warrant. Two days later, his wife, Zhila Tashakori, was also arrested without any legal documentation during a raid on their home by security agents and taken to an undisclosed location.

The couple has a 13-year-old son.

According to received reports, during the arrest of Ms. Tashakori, security agents confiscated several of the family’s personal belongings, including a tablet and mobile phones.

Despite repeated inquiries by the family to obtain information about the couple’s legal status, the arresting authority, their place of detention, and their health condition, no official or clear response has been provided by the responsible security agencies. The family remains in complete uncertainty.
